Abstract
The jungle, filled with sounds that seem magical, not only offers us a biodiverse spectacle but also an opportunity to generate knowledge. Through biological monitoring, there is an effort to understand how species and their environment change over time. Among the dense canopies of the trees, the spider monkeys, threatened by deforestation, play a vital role as seed dispersers. Using passive acoustic monitoring, the search for these monkeys is undertaken, thus contributing to their conservation and providing information to create effective conservation strategies. This adventure reveals the importance of technology and research in preserving biodiversity and the habitat of spider monkeys.
