Abstract

The text is an essay that arises from a research project on the futures and communities of indigenous peoples in Mexico, funded by the CONAHCYT. The text narrates the experience of one of the researchers who visited the Sierra de Zongolica, in Veracruz, and dialogued with a young Nahua, dancer, writer and cultural manager, about how to generate a collaborative and horizontal work that incorporates the environment and art as axes of reflection. The text poses the challenges and possibilities of creating spaces of co-participation and production of knowledge, inspired by experiences such as the research cooperatives of India. The text also reflects on the role of science and art in the construction of possible futures for indigenous communities.
