Abstract

The text deals with the problem of overweight and obesity in Mexico, caused mainly by malnutrition derived from the consumption of ultra-processed or junk food. These foods have low nutritional value and high content of fat, sugar, sodium and preservatives. The text explains how these products are made, how they affect health and how to prevent their consequences.
